Be very cautious. If the contacts are not from a reputable optometry lab they could damage your eyes. Some of these cheap lenses are nothing more than curved plastic discs.which could scratch the cornea and distort or impare your vision. No sense taking the risk. Vitamin K, technically known as phytonadione, is a fat-soluble vitamin manufactured in the liver that is necessary to ensure proper blood clotting. I also sent an e-mail, but it was after the 30 day back guarantee because I could not speak to anyone regarding my problem.
I am not from America and I know that in England I could report this matter to Trading Standards there, could the bank help me or is there another organizing body that could help me?

I dont know where you can get them online since you usually have to get them fitted even if its not perscription but if there is an accessory store called ';Amuse'; then you can try there and they sell color contacts.
Ebay probably, but it's safer to go to the eye doctor, because just buying without having them fit to your eye might cause an infection. You don't need a prescription to get cosmetic contacts, but they do need to be fitted.

Selling barely used cosmetic online?
Hi, I'm contemplating on selling some of my cosmetics which I've barely used online but I've got no idea how should I go about it.
I would very much prefer to sell it only in Singapore where I'm staying in.
Can someone help me with it? For example which website in Singapore to set and how to attract viewers' attention. Thanks!Selling barely used cosmetic online?

Ebay is a good start.. I really wouldn't recommend selling used make-up though. Technically you aren't really supposed to keep it more than a few months (Which most people including myself do anyway). It could have bacteria on it. But if you really want to sell it.. make sure that you at least let the people buying it know that it was used. :)

If I purchased something online and it was used, I'd march my little happy butt over to Singapore and force you to give me my money back.
I don't even share makeup with my best friend, let alone some stranger who lives across the world who has god only knows WHAT disease living in their makeup.
I don't think you realize this, but each time you put makeup on, you put the applicator/brush back into the tub of makeup to reapply more. Every single time you do this, you add a bit more of eye junk to your makeup. The eye ';cooties'; (haha) grow and fester in your makeup.
You may not break out from the diseases living in your makeup, but someone else probably will. As you're used to having those types of bacteria in your eyes, as that's where they came from.
^^ That's the reason they say not to keep eyeshadow/blushes for more than 6 months. (I think it was actaully a lot less than that. But I keep mine for 6.)

See if you have any friends or realatives that would like to purchase it. Since they know you personally and know you don't have any communicable diseases and know if you are a clean person or not first hand they might not have any problem purchasing stuff you have used. But to try to sale it otherwise is gross.
As all the other answerers have said, ebay.com is the best website for doing this. It will allow you to choose whether you want to ship outside your country or only accept bids from within Singapore. (Buyer pays the shipping cost, that you set, so shipping internationally isn't a financial problem, just a problem if it's a hassle for you.)
As far as the ethicalness of selling used cosmetics goes, I disagree with everyone else. I do makeup swaps on a wonderful website (www.makeupalley.com) where we swap used (but sanitized) makeup all the time. I've done about 150 swaps and never had a problem from any of the makeup. This is an option you may also want to consider. Makeup Alley (MUA) has lots of swappers from Singapore and you could swap your gently used items for other cosmetics/haircare/skincare products you want. That would be a great way to do it especially if you'll be using some of the money you planned on earning from selling them to buy new makeup. Selling barely used cosmetics is actually a pretty big business because an eyeshadow that would be $30 new would only be about $20 after it's been used once or twice (and sanitized). So a lot of women buy gently used cosmetics to save lots of money like that.
When it comes to the safety and cleanliness of buying %26amp; selling used makeup, here are a few guidelines to follow:
1) What cosmetic item is it? (Some items like eyeshadow, lipsticks, blush, etc. can be very easily sanitized. Others like mascara are impossible to sanitize. Selling used lipgloss is usually only right if it has only been tested with a clean lip brush).
2) Have you properly sanitized the items? (You can easily sanitize eyeshadows %26amp; blushes by running a cotton ball very lightly dipped in alcohol over them a few times, but don't let them get too wet or the color will change a little. Lipsticks are the easiest, just dip them into a cup of rubbing alcohol for a minute. Mascaras, you cannot sanitize them. Lipglosses, you also cannot totally sanitize and won't be clean unless you've just used them with a lipbrush).
3) Have you disclosed the information the the cosmetics you're selling are used? (You MUST disclose this on the auction or swap listing. It is misleading and wrong not to do so. You should mention though that you have sanitized them and they are clean and safe for use by others, unless it is an item that isn't conclusively sanitizable.)

you should do alittle research. Don';t sell it on ebay. I tried selling some slightly used or almost new products on ebay and they gave me a warning. ebay wont accept used costmetic for selling it on their website.. try http://www.craigslist.org

As far as the ethicalness of selling used cosmetics goes, I disagree with everyone else. I do makeup swaps on a wonderful website (www.makeupalley.com) where we swap used (but sanitized) makeup all the time. I've done about 150 swaps and never had a problem from any of the makeup. This is an option you may also want to consider. Makeup Alley (MUA) has lots of swappers from Singapore and you could swap your gently used items for other cosmetics/haircare/skincare products you want. That would be a great way to do it especially if you'll be using some of the money you planned on earning from selling them to buy new makeup. Selling barely used cosmetics is actually a pretty big business because an eyeshadow that would be $30 new would only be about $20 after it's been used once or twice (and sanitized). So a lot of women buy gently used cosmetics to save lots of money like that.
When it comes to the safety and cleanliness of buying %26amp; selling used makeup, here are a few guidelines to follow:
1) What cosmetic item is it? (Some items like eyeshadow, lipsticks, blush, etc. can be very easily sanitized. Others like mascara are impossible to sanitize. Selling used lipgloss is usually only right if it has only been tested with a clean lip brush).
2) Have you properly sanitized the items? (You can easily sanitize eyeshadows %26amp; blushes by running a cotton ball very lightly dipped in alcohol over them a few times, but don't let them get too wet or the color will change a little. Lipsticks are the easiest, just dip them into a cup of rubbing alcohol for a minute. Mascaras, you cannot sanitize them. Lipglosses, you also cannot totally sanitize and won't be clean unless you've just used them with a lipbrush).
3) Have you disclosed the information the the cosmetics you're selling are used? (You MUST disclose this on the auction or swap listing. It is misleading and wrong not to do so. You should mention though that you have sanitized them and they are clean and safe for use by others, unless it is an item that isn't conclusively sanitizable.)

you should do alittle research. Don';t sell it on ebay. I tried selling some slightly used or almost new products on ebay and they gave me a warning. ebay wont accept used costmetic for selling it on their website.. try http://www.craigslist.org

If you have used the product one time, don't sell them. Make-up can have bacteria. If you sell it to someone else, it could cause problems for them.

I bought some lotion today from the dollar store, nice stuff, smells like grape candy and has shea butter, etc......I rubbed it all over myself after my bath, and then read the bottle to see the ingredients, and find it has Nonoxynol 9, which I know is a spermicide. I'm thinking it's a reject cause it came from the dollar store, wondering why they'd put that in there, then I look online to see if it will have bad affects on my skin, and I find that it is common in cosmetics including shaving cream, hair dye and lotion. It will not harm you, but that is the reason why it is a better idea to pay a bit more for a high quality botanical product that doesn't contain chemical or animal by products.
Check out www.arbonne.com...they have great botanical products and the stuff works.
I would assume they found the principles of it being a spermicide after they started putting it into lotions.
It obviously will not harm you or they wouldnt put it in there..............
Nonoxynol 9's primary indication is as a skin softener. It's also found in shaving cream. The germicidal property is a side-effect.
But if there are any girls out there who use the stuff mainly for the other reason, I am available nights and weekends.

I have been using Bee Luscious Cosmetics for sometime now and their customer service is AMAZING I love it how they always cater to my needs. They did ship 4 of my orders to Germany when we were out their it was the postal service and it did take 3 weeks , then since I use so many products they said that any package 1-5 pounds in weight UPS was the same price. So I waited and placed an order for like 8 products and rec.it UPS in 5 days to Germany the cost was high but not that bad since it was literally a 10+ month supply I purchased. Either way I would call customer service and talk to them so they can give you the best options. I want to add their products are FABULOUS !!!! I've just received the Liquid Powder Mineral Foundation in shade porcelain and was really disappointed to find it's REALLY dark - much darker than the colour sample online. Do people generally find the colour samples aren't a true representation of the real shades??

The only place I can think of that will accept a money order is ebay. If you don't have a debit or credit card (or maybe you don't want to use them) you can go to Walgreens or a currency exchange and get a debit card that isn't linked to a bank/credit account. You just keep putting money on it when you go the Walgreens/currency exchange.

The only place I can think of that will accept a money order is ebay. If you don't have a debit or credit card (or maybe you don't want to use them) you can go to Walgreens or a currency exchange and get a debit card that isn't linked to a bank/credit account. I've heard about ELF cosmetics here and there but never really looked into the brand itself. After reading your question, I decided to go to the site and check it out. The site is incredible for a smaller makeup company. I checked out some of the products and I fully intend on grabbing some tomorrow. From a few friends and family members, it's well worth checking into, I've just never gotten around to it. I've heard complaints from a few people online, however, that their mineral foundation is itchy. This is usually due to personal bias against cheaper brands and/or sensitive skin. There are certain attributes in mineral makeup, such as bismuth, that may affect people with very sensitive skin and may cause it to be irritated. However, some people like to put down low-end cosmetics just because they assume if it's cheaper, it's got to be worse than the more expensive brand, which is obviously not true. All brands of makeup contain a lot of the same ingredients. It's not all about brand or price. Anyway, I've heard that the lipglosses, eyeshadows, and tools are the some definite steals of the brand. I'd say go for it. I know I am. Anyway, it's a dollar per product, you can't beat that.E.L.F. Cosmetics?$1 online Product Review?
I heard about ELF cosmetics in one of those magazines you buy at the grocery store checkout stand, thought with the prices being so reasonable I'd give them a try. I've ordered at least six times and have always received prompt, courteous service and the quality of the items is very good. Report Abuse
they are actually decent, for one dollar... do you have a target store nearby? if so you can go there they have an entire end cap display at my local target store.
I have tried almost everyone of their products...well because they are a dollar so what the heck right?.......Anyways i would only reccomend any of their lip products everything else seems very cheaply put together...the colors in the eyeshadows are not very pigmented and the eyeliners are very dry..their bronzers are orange...the false eyelashes are really ';plasticky'; the all over face color is extremely shimmery..so much more...But if you are going to buy anything but their lip products they are long lasting and come in nice colors

You need to go to an eye doctor and have an exam. Regardless of whether you need vision correction or not, he/she will have to write you a prescription for the colored contacts. Your eyes also need to be measured, because pupil size does vary. If they are the wrong size, any number of things can happen...scratched corneas, eye infections, etc. And with colored contacts, if they are too big or too small the colored part of the contact won't cover your eye correctly and will cause it to look very fake.
It is illegal to sell contacts to someone without a prescription, and there is no telling where those companies that do are getting the contacts, or how safe they are. An eye exam with contact lens fitting will only cost you around $91 at a Wal-Mart Vision Center. Don't play with your vision; get an eye exam and do it the safe way!
